Five Rare Diseases found in Nepal


Rare diseases are the diseases that affect the small amount of population. Its symptoms do not appear immediately. More than the 300 million people have a rare disease world widely. In Nepal too we can find some people who suffer from rare disease.
1. Anencephaly: In 2006 bizarre looking baby born in chariot Dolakha. It is a kind of phallic disorder. Bu the baby died within the half an hour. This kind of diseases makes the unable to feel the pain.



2. Brittle Bone Disease: Brittle Bone Disease is a kind of disorder that results in fragile bone. It is typically developed in the children. In Nepal four sisters are suffered from the Brittle Bone Disease and one of them died.

3. Xeroderma Pigmentosum: It is a genetic disorder. A rare recessive disorder of DNA repai in which the ability to repair damage caused by ultraviolet light is deficient. A child Rukum suffered from this kind of disease.

4. Werewolf Syndrome: Werewolf syndrome is an abnormal amount of hair growth over the body. The extensive causes of the hyper trochaics have informally been called werewolf syndrome because the appearance is similar to the wolf. The excess growth of the hair occurs in the areas of the skin with the exception of androgen dependent hair of the pubic area, face and axillary regions.

5. Fungal Disease: It is a kind of the genetic disorder. In Nepal 11 years old boy suffer from this disease.
